Texas renewal (22 TAC §535.92): an active sales agent needs 18 CE hours every two years, including 8 hours of Legal Update I and II, 3 hours of contract-related coursework and 7 elective hours; brokers also need the 6-hour Broker Responsibility course. These courses are electives unless TREC's written approval designates a course as contract-related; they do not replace Legal Update or Broker Responsibility.
