Renewing in 2026? Choose the 12-hour package. PDH cannot be carried forward into a later renewal period (22 TAC 138.17(e)), so hours beyond what your current renewal needs will not count later. The 24-hour package is sized for a 24 PDH two-year period. Both include Module 1, 4 PDH of surveying law, Board rules and ethics, which covers the ethics minimum either way.

Who this is for: Professional Land Surveyors licensed in Texas. For a 2026 renewal, TBPELS requires 12 PDH, at least 3 of them in professional ethics. RPLS licenses are moving to a two-year term, and the renewal after that, in 2029, requires 24 PDH, at least 4 in ethics. Confirm your own dates with the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (TBPELS).
