Do I have to finish the course in one sitting?

No. Your progress saves automatically after every slide. Log in from any device and you'll be exactly where you left off.

Is there a test?

There is no final exam. Each module ends with a short multiple-choice knowledge check, and you need 80% to pass. If you fall short, you'll see which questions you missed and where the course covers each one, and you can try again as many times as you like. The answers and explanations open once you pass.

Why can't I click Next right away?

Continuing education is counted in hours. Each slide has a minimum read time, and those minutes add up to the hours on your certificate. Time spent on the knowledge checks does not count toward the hours.

How many hours do I need?

For a 2026 renewal, TBPELS requires 15 PDH, at least 1 of them in professional ethics. PE licenses are moving to a two-year term. If your next term runs two years or more, the renewal that ends it requires 30 PDH, at least 2 in ethics. If it runs less than two years, that renewal still requires 15 PDH with 1 in ethics. Renewing in 2026? Choose the 15-hour package. PDH cannot be carried forward into a later renewal period (22 TAC 137.17(e)), so hours beyond what your current renewal needs will not count later. The 30-hour package is sized for a 30 PDH two-year period. Both include Module 1, 3 PDH of ethics, the Practice Act and Board rules, which covers the ethics minimum either way.

Do you report my hours to the board?

No. TBPELS does not pre-approve courses, and providers do not report hours to the board. When you renew, you certify to TBPELS that you met the requirement (22 TAC 137.17(k)). If you are selected for an audit, the board asks you for your records, and your certificate is that record.

Does this count toward my Texas renewal?

You are responsible for choosing courses that meet your board's rules. Read them with the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (TBPELS) at pels.texas.gov if you are unsure.

What does the course cost?

$299.00 for the 30-hour package, $159.00 for the 15-hour package, one time, everything included. Engineering firms with several PEs: email support for group pricing.

How does pay-later work?

Enroll and take the entire course before you pay anything. Pay the one-time fee whenever you like. Your certificate is released once you have both finished the course and paid.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, on request within 30 days of payment, as long as your certificate has not been issued. If you finish the course first and then pay, the certificate is issued immediately, so the fee is not refundable at that point because the service has been delivered. Email support and we'll sort it out.

What do I do after I finish?

Download your certificate from your dashboard. It lists the hours for every module and the total. Keep it with your renewal records for four years (22 TAC 137.17(l)).

Which licenses does this course cover?

Professional Engineers licensed in Texas.
