Do I have to finish the course in one sitting?
No. Your progress saves automatically after every slide. Log in from any device and you'll be exactly where you left off.
Is there a test?
There is no final exam. Each of the 8 modules ends with a short multiple-choice knowledge check. You need every answer right to move on, you can try as many times as you like, and a wrong answer shows you why it was wrong.
Why can't I click Next right away?
Continuing education is counted in contact hours. Each slide has a minimum read time, and those minutes add up to the 22.5 hours on your certificate. Time spent on the knowledge checks does not count toward the hours.
Does this count toward my Texas renewal?
Texas OTs and OTAs need 24 contact hours of continuing education every 2-year renewal cycle (40 TAC 367.1(b)(2)), and internet-based courses count hour for hour with no maximum (40 TAC 367.2(b)(2)). This package is 22.5 of those hours. The free 1.5-hour human trafficking course from Texas HHSC brings you to 24. You are responsible for choosing courses that meet the board's rules, so read them at ptot.texas.gov if you are unsure.
Do you report my hours to the board?
No, and nobody does. The Texas board does not collect completions from course providers. You keep your own certificates (40 TAC 367.1(a)) and show them if you are selected for an audit.
What does the course cost?
The standard price is $79.00, one time, everything included. Our first 50 customers pay the founding price of $59.99, applied automatically at checkout while spots remain. Once you've taken the course with us, your next renewal is $59.99, locked in for life. Clinics and districts with several OTs or OTAs: email support for group pricing.
How does pay-later work?
Enroll and take the entire course before you pay anything. Pay the one-time fee whenever you like: $59.99 founding price for our first 50 customers, $79.00 standard after that. Your certificate is released once you have both finished the course and paid.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, on request within 30 days of payment, as long as your certificate has not been issued. If you finish the course first and then pay, the certificate is issued immediately, so the fee is not refundable at that point because the service has been delivered. Email support and we'll sort it out.
What do I do after I finish?
Download your certificate from your dashboard and keep it with your renewal records. It lists the hours for every module and the total. Then renew your license with the Texas board as usual.
