Do I have to finish the course in one sitting?
No. Your progress saves automatically after every slide. Log in from any device and you'll be exactly where you left off.
Is there a test?
Yes. Each of the 8 modules ends with a short multiple-choice knowledge check, and the course ends with a final exam covering all eight modules. You need 80% to pass each one (for example, 8 of 10), and you can retake them as many times as you need. TDLR requires an examination component for online and home-study CE, which is why the final exam is there.
Why can't I click Next right away?
Each slide has a minimum read time, and those minutes add up to the 8 hours on your certificate. Time spent on the knowledge checks and the final exam does not count toward the hours.
Does this count toward my Texas renewal?
It is built for it. 16 TAC 118.25 requires every LHR individual certificate holder to complete 8 hours of continuing education each certification term, covering refresher training in the 16 TAC 118.26 topics, LHR technology updates, applicable regulatory changes, and other health and safety topics, and it allows web-based online training. This course is 8 hours and covers all four. You are responsible for meeting your own renewal requirements, so check with TDLR at tdlr.texas.gov if you are unsure.
Do you report my hours to TDLR?
No. Texas does not collect laser hair removal CE completions from course providers, and there is no course number to report against. You keep your certificate and submit it with your renewal.
What does my certificate show?
Your name, the date you completed the course, the course title, the provider (Renewed CE LLC, doing business as RenewEd CE) and the hours completed, which are the five items TDLR lists as required. A second page lists the hours for every module.
Which certificate holders is this for?
Texas LHR apprentices-in-training, LHR technicians, senior LHR technicians and LHR professionals. All four need 8 hours to renew.
What does the course cost?
49.00, one time, everything included. Med spas and clinics with several technicians: email support for group pricing.
How does pay-later work?
Enroll and take the entire course before you pay anything. Pay the one-time 49.00 fee whenever you like. Your certificate is released once you have finished the course, passed the final exam and paid.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, on request within 30 days of payment, as long as your certificate has not been issued. If you finish the course first and then pay, the certificate is issued immediately, so the fee is not refundable at that point because the service has been delivered. Email support and we'll sort it out.
