Privacy Policy

renewedce.com/WaterWellRenewalTX is operated by Renewed CE LLC, a Texas limited liability company. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do (and don't do) with it.

What we collect

• Account and license information you give us: your name as licensed, TDLR license number, license type, and email address. We need these to deliver the course and to report your completion to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
• Course activity: which modules you completed, the instruction time recorded for each, and your identity-checkpoint results. Texas requires us to keep these records (16 TAC §59.51).
• Mobile number (optional): only if you provide it. We only send text messages if you separately opt in, and we record when and how you consented.
• Payment information: processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Referral cookie: if you arrive through a link from one of our referral partners, we set one cookie of our own, which stores that partner's code and the time you clicked. It lasts 30 days and is used only to credit that partner if you buy a course. Partners never receive your name, email, license number, or course records. We use a scrambled (hashed) form of your email and license number only to stop a partner from earning credit on their own enrollment.
• Cookies and similar tools: we set a few cookies of our own. One keeps you signed in. Others remember where your visit came from (for example, which ad or search brought you here), so we can tell which advertising works, and one stores a referral partner's code if you arrived through a partner's link. Our site also loads advertising and analytics tags from Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads), Meta, and OpenAI, which may set their own cookies to measure visits and ad results, plus privacy-focused visit analytics from Ahrefs. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but if you block ours you will not be able to stay signed in.

How we use it

• To deliver the course and issue your certificate.
• To report your completion to TDLR. This is required by law and is the entire point of taking the course.
• To email you about your course: enrollment confirmation, progress reminders, payment, your certificate, and your renewal (every two years).
• To answer you when you contact support.

What we share

We never sell your personal information for money, and we never hand an advertiser your license number, your course records or your mobile number. Texas law counts some ordinary advertising as a "sale" or as "targeted advertising", and we do that much, so it is described below and you can opt out at any time. We share your information with:

• TDLR. Your name, license number, license type, and completion date, as the law requires.
• Service providers that operate the site on our behalf: Stripe (payments), our email delivery provider, our text-message delivery provider, our hosting provider, and Google and Meta (advertising and analytics tags on our site). They may only use it to provide those services. Ahrefs also provides privacy-focused visit analytics on our site and is not used for advertising.
• Advertising platforms, so we can find more people like our students. We may give Google and Meta a scrambled (hashed) form of your email address or name. A hash is a one-way code: it cannot be turned back into your email or name, but a company that already has them can match them. We never give them your mobile number, your license number, or anything about your course. Ask us and we will remove you.
• If legally compelled: a subpoena, court order, or a TDLR audit or investigation.

Text messages

We only text you if you affirmatively opted in. Consent is never a condition of purchase. Expect roughly one to three messages a year, primarily your license renewal reminder. Reply STOP at any time to stop immediately, or turn reminders off from your dashboard. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. We do not share your mobile number: no mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and your text-message consent is never sold, rented or shared. The only exception is the messaging provider that delivers the texts on our behalf, which may not use your number for any other purpose.

Email

Course-related emails (enrollment, payment, certificate, renewal) are part of the service. You can reply "unsubscribe" to any of them to stop course reminders; we'll still send anything required to complete a transaction you started or that the law requires.

How long we keep it

Texas requires CE providers to retain participant completion records for at least two years (16 TAC §59.51). We keep account and completion records at least that long, and typically longer so your loyalty renewal price and past certificates remain available to you.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. Card data goes directly to Stripe and never touches our servers.

Your choices

• Get a copy of your records, or ask us to correct them.
• Turn off text reminders any time (STOP, or your dashboard).
• Ask us to delete your account. Note: we may have to retain completion records to satisfy TDLR's retention rule and cannot un-report a completion already sent to the state.

Texas residents: we do not sell personal data for money, but two things we do may count as a "sale" or as "targeted advertising" under Texas law, so we treat them as both. First, the Google and Meta tags on our public marketing pages. Those tags also run on your dashboard and course pages, so we can see which pages help students finish. They never receive your name, email address, license number, quiz answers or certificate. Second, giving Google or Meta a scrambled (hashed) form of your email address or name so they can show our ads to people like you. To opt out of either, email us and we will honor it and remove you from those audiences, or use a browser setting or extension that blocks the tags.

Children

This site is for licensed Texas water well drillers and pump installers and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date above. Material changes will be emailed to active customers.
